A world-class graduate school of energy and environment by nurturing creative talents who possess not only an expertise in science and technology but also a capacity for policy establishment
Countries around the world are dedicated to advancing technologies and industries related to energy and environment, in order to properly respond to environmental problems caused by climate change and to gain competitiveness in the upcoming era of hydrogen economy. Under the goal of transforming science and technology into a new growth engine, Green School is creating a new paradigm for professional graduate schools that will develop long-term national policies as well as advanced technologies in energy and environment through convergence research.
Based on mutually supportive relations between Korea University and Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST), Green School is exerting efforts to establish a differentiated collaboration system and to nurture global leaders from curriculum that promotes convergence across disciplines in natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
Since its designation by the government as a specialized graduate school for university and research institute collaboration in July 2012, Green School has been actively taking up future-oriented research projects that integrate expertise from both the technology and the policy spheres in renewable energies and advanced environmental science. Following the signing of an MOU agreement with the Center for Energy & Environmental Policy at the University of Delaware in April 2012, it is expanding its international network with world-renowned universities in Asia and Europe in the form of student exchange and joint research projects.
Green School will set new global trends to become a top graduate school in the fields of energy and environment, and play a leading role in Korea’s convergence education and research.
We look forward to your continued support and interest. Thank you.
